The Olden Days

Back in the olden days of Freaky Trigger I did a series of the Top 100 Singles of the 90s, with often florid write-ups by me.

This series has been long 'out of print', as it was oddly formatted and presented a picture of my tastes which was a bit misleading (though accurate enough at the time, I admit).

I've been thinking about what to do with it. I could just reformat and put it back up on FT, of course. But in a way I'd like to go back and look at some of the things again. Editing the entries or changing the singles I picked would be a bit dishonest, plus it would bog me down on a minor project when I have other things to do.

So what I might do is put them up on this LJ, one at a time, with a two-or-three line comment on what I think of my entry, or the single, now, and why I picked the bloody thing in the first place. Why not on NYLPM? Well, NYLPM shouldn't be about looking back to six years ago, and the idea seems a bit too prima-donna-ish for the main site. And at the end I could republish all of them as one big thing on the FT site and be done with it.

On the other hand doing it might bore all of you stupid.
